AFT Pharmaceuticals is a privately owned company with operations in Australia and New Zealand. The company was founded in 1997 by Pharmacist and Pharmacologist, Dr Hartley Atkinson.

AFT’s focus remains firmly on the Pharmaceutical Rx/OTC market, where it holds considerable collective expertise. Since its first product launches in 1998, sales have grown substantially every year. Sales are now in excess of AUD$10 million for both Australia and New Zealand, with growing exports to Asia Pacific.

AFT Pharmaceuticals was founded on the belief that many Doctors, Pharmacists and Consumers were not being catered for by the big multinationals. AFT applies a business model that is focused on three key disciplines; Regulatory, Medical and Sales and Marketing. The principals of the business work in the business and provide a refreshing, hands-on service that delivers superior sales performance.

Today, AFT markets niche Prescriptions/OTC Brands in Australia and New Zealand where it can establish a product advantage, point of difference or price advantage. This means that AFT promotes to Doctors, Pharmacists and Consumers and also competes in the Hospital/Government Tender sectors.

HOW WE WORK
AFT distributes Branded and Generic products in all the key market areas – OTC, Prescription (PBS/Health Subsidy) and Hospital markets. We also specialise in targeted promotion of smaller branded Pharmaceutical/OTC products.

We have considerable expertise in Regulatory Affairs and Product Development and have a growing range of products which have been developed in-house or licensed from overseas companies.

NEW PRODUCTS ON THE WAY
Clinical trials are currently underway for a novel combination analgesic. A CTD formatted dossier is currently available and supporting clinical trial data being developed locally.

There are a number of other new products currently in the Regulatory process with launch plans in place over the short to medium term.
